Sea Scout Vessel Moorage
Water Way 18, Sea Scout Moorage
The Spirit of Propeller, Inc. has taken over the ownership and management of our facility at Water Way 18, commonly called the "Sea Scout Moorings".
Part of the latest Washington State Dept. of Natural Resources and Federal EPA requirements include the replacement of the 85 year old, wooden deck, cedar log float and creosote piling structure with a Fereral EPA and Washington State DNR approved and environmentally friendly new fiberglass grid deck, encapsulated plastic floatation and steel piling structure.
We plan to begin construction of the $500,000 project during the Fisheries required construction window (October to April) next year. All the necessary permitting has been completed. All that remains is the raising of the necessary funds. Thus far we have raised over $55,000, which was used primarily for the permitting process and the necessary insurance policies.
Your help in meeting our fundraising goals is greatly appreciated, either by a direct contribution or providing assistance and guidance to our fundraising team.
We ask for your support and contribution in providing the Sea Scouts of the Greater Seattle Area with our renewed facility.
