Sea Scout Vessel Moorage
Water Way 18, Sea Scout Moorage
The Spirit of Propeller, Inc. has taken over the ownership and management of our facility at Water Way 18, commonly called the "Sea Scout Moorings".
Part of the latest Washington State Dept. of Natural Resources and Federal EPA requirements included the replacement of the 85 year old, wooden deck, cedar log float and creosote piling structure with a Federal EPA and Washington State DNR approved and environmentally friendly new fiberglass grid deck, encapsulated plastic floatation and steel piling structure.
We began construction of the $500,000 Replacement Dock project Mid-June this year and will complete the project with the replacement of the pilings during the construction window this October.
Yet to be accomplished and funded is the replacement of the shore side potable water piping and the fabrication and installation of a new security gate on the shore end of the new dock.
Your help in meeting our fundraising goal was, and is, greatly appreciated, either by a direct contribution or providing assistance and guidance to our fundraising team.
We asked for your support and contribution in providing the Sea Scouts of the Greater Seattle Area with a renewed facility. And you made it possible. Your continued support will make a difference to present and future youth in our maritime and Sea Scout programs.
